Accommodation in a typical Tuscan farmhouse and visit to art cities and charming medieval villages and tour to Elba  island.Cod. 18.The medieval village is one of the principal touristic summer destinations. Located in the northern part of Maremma, it is appreciated  for the sea, the splendid coasts and panoramas.

Day 1: Arrival at Pisa or Florence airport and rental car.  Stop in Pisa and  visit of  Miracles Square with the Romanesque cathedra and  the famous Leaning Tower. Continue towards Massa Marittima and accommodation in a lovely farmhouse overlooking the lake of Accesa, just 20 km from the beautiful Etruscan Coast. Opportunity to dine at the restaurant of the farmhouse.

Day 2: Breakfast and tour of the medieval village of Massa Marittima with its old and steep alleys, its buildings dating back to the XII-XIII century and its marvellous San Cerbone Cathedral. Opportunity of visiting to a well-known wine-producing firm and tasting of Monteregio Doc of Massa Marittima. The spectacular wine cellars of this winery is designed by the well-known architect Renzo Piano. Afternoon: visit to Castiglione della Pescaia. The medieval village is one of the principal touristic summer destinations. Located in the southern part of Maremma, it is appreciated  for its impressive Castle,   the sea, the splendid coasts and panoramas.

Day 3: Breakfast. Departure to Siena. Tour of Siena, an ancient medieval city which immensely boasts of a cultural and artistical heritage: Piazza del Campo where twice a year the famous Palio takes place, that is a horse race in which various districts of the city take  place; Torre del Mangia ; the Cathedral. Siena is also famous for its sweets: cantucci, ricciarelli , panforte and cavallucci accompanied with the classical Vin Santo. You are spoilt for choise! Afternoon: visit to the Abbey of Saint Galgano. the Cistercian Abbey was an important street network for wayfarers and pilgrims. A few metres away is situated the Montesiepi Church (1183) where one can admire the famous sword in the rock of Saint Galgano.

Day 4: Breakfast and departure to Pitigliano and Sovana: ancient Etruscan settlements and picturesque villages built into the tufa rocks, offering beautiful landscapes surrounded by olive groves and vineyards.

Day 5: Breakfast and departure to Piombino Harbour where a ferry will bring you to Portoferraio town. Visit to the Cittadella of the VI century, Napoleon Museum and tour of the island.

Day 6: Breakfast and departure to the Gulf of Baratti. Visit to the medieval village of Populonia with its charming castle  and the Etruscan necropolis. Afternoon dedicated to relax in the beautiful beaches of the coast.

Day 7: Possibility to rent bikes and  trip along the coast or  visit to Cala Violina: one of the most beautiful bays of Tuscany .
 
Day  8: Breakfast and departure. Opportunity of visiting Lucca. Not to be missed The impressive walls, Saint Michele’s Square, The Amphitheatre, Saint Martino’s Cathedral. Release of the car at the airport.
