Accommodation in an historical house in Massa Marittima: building of the XIII century. Tour for people. 8 days / 7 nights. Cod.24.

Day 1 – Arrival in Massa Marittima and welcome in a noble palace of the 13th century situated in the main square of the medieval city of Massa Marittima.

Day 2 – Visit to Suvereto and Bolgheri villages. Visit to the splendid medieval villages of the Etruscan Coast: Suvereto and Bolgheri. Both settled down on the peak of the hills dominating the countryside and the sea. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings with olive groves and the Bolgheri Castle with its prestigious vineyards . Take part of a well-earned tasting of the prestigious wine in Bolgheri Castle. Free afternoon.

Day 3 – Explore the town of Siena. During the guided visit to the medieval city of Siena you will be fascinated by ancient fine art and cultural heritage. Explore Piazza del Campo where takes place the famous Palio of Siena, the exiting horse race and festival. Siena is also famous for its sweets specialities: you can taste mouthwatering cantucci, ricciarelli, panforte and cavallucci accompanied with the classical Vin Santo. In the afternoon visit to the Cistercian Abbey of San Galgano. A few metres away is situated the Montesiepi Church (1183) where you can admire the famous sword in the rock of Saint Galgano.

Day 4 – Excursion to Pisa and Lucca. Pisa is a former maritime city with its famous monuments and attractions: explore the Leaning Tower, the beautiful marble Cathedral and the Square of Miracles, Unesco World Heritage site. Guided visit to the city of Lucca to admire the architecture of its endless defensive 4 km walls. Not to be missed for considerable beauty are: Saint Michele’s Square, The Amphitheatre, Saint Martino’s Cathedral. Lucca is the birthplace of the composer Giacomo Puccini and hosts the Giacomo Puccini’s Museum.

Day 5 – Free time (whole day) to join in an optional cooking course* or simply relax by Follonica’s long and sandy beach, taking time for shopping and to enjoy a delicious ice-cream.

Day 6 – Full day excursion to Elba Island. Transfer  to Piombino Harbour where a ferry will bring you to Portoferraio town. Visit to the Cittadella of the VI century.

Day 7 – Full day excursion to Florence. Sightseeing tour of the town. Florence is also ideal for shopping handmade products in local Market Stalls or shopping for the latest fashions in Florence’s famous Italian Designer’s boutiques.

Day 8 – Departure. Say ‘Arrivederci’ to Tuscany!

A certified guide or courier will be present during all the excursions and transfers. All guides are qualified and are English, German, French or Russian speaking.

*Cooking course on request: one day dedicate to learn the art of Tuscan cuisine. During this course you will be supported by a highly professional Chef. Lunch and taste the recipes prepared during your cooking class. min. 4 people. Price:  € 80,00 per person.
