Accommodation in an old monastery completely renovated and visit to the well-known wineries and food companies in Tuscany. Cod.12.

Day 1: Arrival at Pisa or Florence airport and rental car.  Visit to Florence: its rich age-old history fascinates millions of tourists each year. Many places of interest such as  ” Piazza della Signoria”, old place of residence of The Medici family; The “Ponte Vecchio” famous for its artisan and craftsmen shops of goldsmiths and its spectacular view of all the city; Palazzo Pitti. Florence is also ideal to do shopping, starting from handmade products to markets or, if one prefers, shopping in famous italian fashion designer boutiques. Afternoon : accommodation in an old monastery based in the heart of Chianti in Colle Val D’Elsa. The farmhouse produces excellent wines. Possibility to visit the cellar.

Day 2: Breakfast and visit one of the most prestigious and innovative winery in Italy. The winery, located in San Casciano Val di Pesa, was inaugurated on Oct. 25, 2012 and  it is unique in Italy in its type. Afternoon: tour of Chianti Share and visit to the fascinating village of Greve in Chianti.

Day  3: Breakfast and visit to Siena: Piazza del Campo where takes place the famous Palio of Siena, the exiting horse race and festival, the beautiful Cathedral and The old town. Afternoon: Visit to ” Enoteca Italiana” a wine exhibition based in a Fortress of 16th-century, where more than 1,500 wines are on permanent display after having been carefully selected by a judging committee. Wines can be tasted  inside the Enoteca or on its splendid terraces.

Day 4: Breakfast and departure to Pisa: Guided tour  of  Piazza dei Miracoli  where one can admire the Cathedral, the  Baptistery and the Leaning Tower. In the afternoon visit to the workshop De Bondt chocolate. A fantastic tour  into the world of chocolate. Return to hotel and dinner at the hotel.

Day 5: Breakfast and departure to San Gimignano: The city, Unesco World heritage Site, is very famous for its 15 towers and its numerous historical monuments. Possibility to taste the famous Vernaccia DOCG, white wine produced in the surrounding country side since the 11th century. Afternoon dedicated to visiting the historical centre of Volterra: a city encircled by impressive historic walls and a true jewel of etruscan, roman, medieval and renaissance art. The city celebrates the extraction and crafting of alabaster.

Day 6: Breakfast and departure to  Montepulciano. Visit to 2  historic cellars in the center of the town and wine tasting of the well-known  Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG.  In the afternoon visit to a renowned farm which produces  “pecorino” cheese DOP. Tasting-dinner at the farm: tasting of 5 types of pecorino cheese following an increasing level of intensity of flavours.

Day 7: Breakfast and visit to the castle of Monteriggioni, an impressive fortress constructed in 1213 and  characterized by 14 impressive towers. Tasting of local products such as salami and cheese.

Day 8: Breakfast and departure to the airport. Delivery of the car.
