Accommodation 3 star Hotel based on the gulf of Follonica,  Tuscan coast, between the sea and the pine forest. 8 days/7 nights. HB. Cod.  019.

Day 1: Arrival and welcome. 3 star Hotel situated on the gulf of Follonica, on the Tuscan coast, between the sea and the pine forest, in front of Elba Island. The hotel offers excellent service and very good refreshments. The city of Follonica, which extends on its own gulf, is surrounded by beautiful age-old pine forests, marvellous sandy beaches and crystal clear water. For the last consecutive years Follonica is proud to own the European Blue Flag. Dinner.

Day 2 :  Breakfast. Morning: tour of the medieval village of Massa Marittima with its old and steep alleys, its buildings dating back to the XII-XIII century and its marvellous San Cerbone Cathedral. Guided visit to a well-known wine-producing firm and tasting of Monteregio Doc of Massa Marittima. The spectacular wine cellars of this winery is designed by the well-known architect Renzo Piano. Tasting of three wines . Dinner in hotel.

Day 3 : Breakfast. Tranfer to Piombino  and cruise to Elba Island. Elba Island offers an extraordinary variety of enviroments and culture, starting from the remains of an Etruscan fortress to the decks for Roman ships, from granite mountains to the most interesting mining zones found in Europe. Landing at Portoferraio and visit of the sixteenth century Citadel. Possibility of visiting the Villa Museum of Napoleon. Return to Castiglioni della Pescaia and then to hotel. Dinner.

Day 4 : Breakfast at the hotel and relaxing day.

Day 5 :  Breakfast. Departure to Siena. Guided city tour of Siena, an ancient medieval city which immensely boasts of a cultural and artistical heritage: Piazza del Campo where twice a year the famous Palio takes place, that is a horse race in which various districts of the city take  place; Torre del Mangia ; the Cathedral. Siena is also famous for its sweets: cantucci, ricciarelli , panforte and cavallucci accompanied with the classical Vin Santo. You are spoilt for choise! Afternoon: visit to the Abbey of Saint Galgano. the Cistercian Abbey was an important street network for wayfarers and pilgrims. A few metres away is situated the Montesiepi Church (1183) where one can admire the famous sword in the rock of Saint Galgano. Return to the hotel and dinner.

Day 6 : Breakfast and relaxing day at sea. Possibility to take part of a cuisine course.

Day 7 : Breakfast. Departure to Florence. Guided city tour. Its rich age-old history fascinates millions of tourists each year. There are many artistic, monumental and cultural places of interest to visit in Florence: ” Piazza della Signoria”, old place of residence of The Medici family; The “Ponte Vecchio” famous for its artisan and craftsmen shops of goldsmiths and its spectacular view of all the city; Palazzo Pitti. Florence is also ideal to do shopping, starting from handmade products to markets or, if one prefers, shopping in famous italian fashion designer boutiques. Free time and return to the hotel. Dinner.

Day 8:
Breakfast at the hotel and departure.

During all tours a certified guide or courier is always present. All guides are qualified and are English, German, French or Russian speaking.
