In the heart of Tuscany, just facing the famous “Crete Senesi”, the Castello di Leonina Relais, ancient military fortress of XIII centuries, late country residence of the Chigi family and for long time the official residence of Cardinal Fabio Chigi, who begum Pope with the name of Alexander VII, has been opened as hotel Relais in 2003. The Castello di Leonina, 14 km away from Siena, consists of the restaurant, bar, meeting center which can host up 100 persons, wellness point and the outdoor swimming pool. 21 Large and comfortable rooms, among which 6 junior suites, all equipped with furniture especially designed for the Castle, have independent air conditioning/heating system, direct dealing telephone, minibar, safe. Bathrooms, in marble stone, have soft cotton towels, hairdryer, courtesy kit, bathrobe and sleepers. The Wellness point has a Turkish Bath, aromatherapy shower, panoramic whirlpool and massage are at your disposal. The Swimming Pool Natural terrace facing the famous “Crete Senesi” equipped with seabed and sun umbrellas, in the freshness of pine tries, is at Client’s disposal from Mai to September from 10.00 am till 7.00 pm. Bikes, free of charge, are available for relaxing rides in the area.
