10 day 9 night all-inclusive Eco-Sustainable Tour

BluemaremmaViaggi, a tour operator based in Tuscany, with over 10 years of experience in organising tours for international travellers,offers an extraordinary and unique experience to a  limited  group of 5 European couples –   10 travellers in total.  In partnership with cultural institutions, local authorities and selected  high-end resorts, BluemaremmaViaggi has organised a series of special events, outdoor activities,eco-sustainable tourism and slow food experiences.

This tour is a journey of discovery, exploring secret locations, wildlife and the history of Maremma (the Southern province of Tuscany).

TV filming for a Northern European State Broadcaster will take place during the tour.

On Sept 15th arrival at Pisa, Florence or Rome airport (flights not included).

All transportation will be taken care of by our experts who will chauffer holiday-makers to the carefully selected destinations, in the newest Land Rover Defender 110 p400e plug-in-hybrid.

As well as transportation and accommodation, the tour includes daily continental breakfast, 3 course lunch and 5 course dinner. Local wines are included over the 10 day period. All accommodation is in luxury settings, immersed in nature and wildlife. Some locations include a swimming pool and all bedrooms include complimentary softdrinks.

Day one – Spa Day – Transfer from airport to resort

Enjoy a massage & relax at La Cerreta Terme in Sasseta. 1 massage included. All day access to spa. Drinks &  snacks served on your arrival. Farm-grown dinner served on with biodynamically natural wines. Guests sleep in country cottages immersed in the wilderness of an organic farm. Here everything is produce locally from meat to cheese, from honey to jams.

Day two – The Hills

Explore the Biancane Natural Park in Monterotondo Marittimo, in the Metalliferous Hills. You will have the opportunity to admire and explore landscapes shaped by geothermal energy. Lunch organised by local producers will showcase their artisanship and use of renewable energy: beer and cheese.

Guided Tour of Massa Marittima and its Renaissance splendour. Exclusive access to the Cathedral, Bishop Seat and Municipal Palace (currently closed to the public). Aperitif in the square.  Taste a seasonal dinner served with local wines at wine estate. Sleep at agritourism Brancatelli in Riotorto.

Day Three – Lake & Sea Day

Breakfast by the pool then visit to a 2500 year old Etruscan site on the shores of the protected lake. Swim in some of cleanest fresh water in Italy. Lunch in the woods at Melosgrano street food kiosk which sources only local organic producers. Afternoon of water sports (canoeing, wind surfing, kite surfing, sailing), relaxation and beauty treatments at a 4*beach front, brand new resort. Tour of Follonica for shopping and a sea view aperitif. Guided visit of Magma museum, highlighting the history of steel making dating back to the Etruscans. Dinner and accommodation at The Sense Experience Resort with a spectacular view of Elba Island.

Day Four – Wine Day

Explore one of Tuscany’s finest wineries designed by top architect Renzo Piano. Discover its 2500 year old Etruscan tombs on siteguided by the University of Florence archaeologists who discovered them. Watch and take part in the final stages of the harvest. Enjoy a classic music concert in the Barrique Room.  Wine tasting Master Class hosted by international Master of Wine. Sleep in the winery’s apartments.

Day Five – Horse Riding on the Beach

Explore Maremma Regional Park on horseback, assisted by the Italian State Forestry Corps. Aperitif  at Frank & Serafico – a cool bar that produces its own gin and craft beers. Return to the winery’s apartments.

Day Six – Sailing and Trekking Day

Discover Leonardo Ferragamo’s yachting club Marina di Scarlino. Trekking to unspoilt beach of Cala Martina on foot. (Optional) sailing to Elba Island. Aperitif by the pool. Fish dinner overlooking the Marina. Sleep in the Resort apartments. 

Day Seven – Biking Day

Bike ride from Puntala to Cala Violina. The surrounding countryside is a protected natural oasis crisscrossed by many trails, thus offering an ideal environment for hiking and mountain biking. Alternative outdoor activities at Puntala Camp&Resort: tennis, kayaking, wind surfing, sailing or simply sunbathing. Enjoy luxury “glamping” as you rest and relax in the modern comforts of wooden mobile homes in century old pine woods. Here typical Mediterranean flora and fauna form lush and abundant undergrowth.

Day Eight – Home-made Pasta Making Class

Pasta making course in Buriano. Discover the local traditions by using regional ingredients. Aperitif and gourmet dinner at historical hilltop Castiglione della Pescaia. Return for the night to Puntala Camp&Resort.

Day Nine – Wildlife Watching

Guided tour of the WWF Oasis of Orbetello and Burano Lake in Capalbio. Lunch by Orbetello lagoon hosted by Orbetello’s fishermen. Dinner and sleep at organic farm Officinali di Montauto in Manciano.

Day Ten – Organic Cosmetic Making

Breakfast by the pool then learn how to make organic cosmetics with lavender, thyme and camomile at Officinali di Montauto. 150 hectares of unspoilt landscape which provides the perfect habitat for bees and insects. Transfer to your airport to catch return European flights home.
