Christmas markets in Tuscany

Christmas is coming, but have you already bought decorations and gifts? If you have not already done so, we suggest you take advantage and visit one of the many Christmas markets that take place every year in Tuscany.

What could be nicer than holiday shopping accompanied by a charming atmosphere?

If you can visit a Christmas market in Tuscany you will be spoiled for choice!

winter-1792120_1280Let’s start with talking about one of the historical markets, the Abbadia San Salvatore one, better known as the city of the torches! In the beautiful medieval village, until January 6th, the stalls will be set up where you will find plenty of local crafts and the night of 24th December is a must, so many torches will be lit on the occasion of Christmas giving rise to a unique spectacle.

Arezzo also awaits you with its Christmas market until December 26, with many stands open until 21.00. You can walk to the characteristics eating delicious delicacies and enjoy stalls to buy some Christmas little gift!

In Florence, Piazza Santa Croce becomes a real Christmas village with market of Weihnachtsmarkt where you can find many specialties of German cuisine and lots of Christmas decorations.

img_3482Montepulciano also lights up with the Christmas Village, an unmissable event for young and old who will visit the typical market and even Santa’s Castle, a fabulous place!

In Montecatini, until January 6th, you will find the home of Santa Claus! This fantastic reconstruction will make the little ones dream and make go back in time the oldest! In spite of those who say that Santa Claus does not exist!

Maremma also has its Christmas village, to be precise in Manciano! Ice sculptures, beautiful cribs and home of the Elves waiting you, until 8th January!
